About Red Apple Lodge
Welcome to Red Apple Lodge — a 3,933 sq ft mountain home perched at over 3,000 feet of elevation with long-range views of the Blue Ridge and a working apple orchard just next door.
The lodge was built in 2020, and it feels like it: wide-open living spaces, walls of windows, tiled walk-in showers, and that crisp, just-finished mountain-modern feel, all wrapped in the warmth of a true getaway.
THE MAIN LEVEL — Come in to an open great room with a cozy fireplace and dining for the whole group. The kitchen is fully stocked with granite counters, KitchenAid stainless appliances, a convection oven, a Keurig plus a classic drip coffee maker, and a beverage fridge for drinks and snacks. Step through the doors onto the wrap-around covered deck — the best seat in the house for morning coffee, grilling dinner, and watching the mountains turn gold at sunset.
THE SLEEPING QUARTERS — Three bedrooms on the main level and two downstairs mean your group can spread out without anyone drawing the short straw. Every room has a flat-screen smart TV, ceiling fan or climate control, dresser, closet with hangers, and room-darkening shades for sleeping in.
BLUE ROOM (main level) — King bed, ensuite bath with double sinks and a tiled walk-in shower, walk-in closet, and French doors to the deck.
MAUVE ROOM (main level) — King bed, shared full bath.
RED ROOM (main level) — Queen bed, shared full bath.
GREEN ROOM (lower level) — King bed, ensuite bath with tiled walk-in shower, balcony access.
BUNK ROOM (lower level) — Double-over-double bunk, ensuite bath, balcony access. Ideal for kids, teens, or a second couple.
THEATER ROOM — Queen Murphy bed for a 6th sleeping space when you need it.
THE LOWER LEVEL — Head down to the walk-out lower level and the party gets going. A dedicated game room with a full-size pool table and foosball. A theater room with reclining seats for nine — projector, big screen, and a Murphy bed tucked away for overflow. A full bath serves both rooms and the hot tub crowd.
OUTSIDE — This is where Red Apple Lodge really earns its name. The wrap-around decks are made for sunset dinners. Down below: a large Dr. Wellness hot tub, a stone patio with a fire pit and teak seating for 8–10, and a mostly level yard with room for soccer, frisbee, cornhole, or the kids running off dinner. Wild turkeys and deer roam the neighborhood. The orchard next door gives the place its color, and the Blue Ridge rolls on forever.
KITCHEN & DINING — Fully equipped for the holidays, family dinners, or a big group cooking together. Granite counters, stainless KitchenAid appliances (fridge, dishwasher, range/oven), microwave, beverage fridge, toaster, blender, Keurig + drip coffee maker, dishes and silverware for 14, wine glasses, baking sheets, and the cooking basics. Grill on the deck. Dine inside at the big table, outside under the covered deck, or downstairs on the stone patio.
THE LITTLE DETAILS THAT MATTER — Two tankless gas water heaters (yes, all 14 of you can shower). Dual-zone heating and cooling with Trane heat pumps. Flat-screen smart TVs in every bedroom. High chair, pack-n-play, and window locks for the littles. Mesh Wi-Fi throughout (245/97 Mbps — stream away). Crisp hotel-quality linens, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap provided. Lit path to the entrance.
THE LOCATION — Just 10 minutes to downtown Boone: App State (Kid Brewer Stadium), Mast General Store, restaurants, breweries, and grocery. Mill Camp Wines and Ciders is less than a mile away — a great afternoon stop. Easy drive to Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Moses Cone Park, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. You get the best of the High Country with none of the traffic-on-King-Street.
BEST FOR — Extended-family reunions, multi-generational trips, couples weekends, ski groups, quiet bachelorette/bachelor getaways, girls' trips, fall-color leaf peepers, and holiday gatherings. Sleeps up to 14 in beds (3 kings, 1 queen, a double-over-double bunk, and a queen Murphy), with 5.5 baths so no one's waiting in line in the morning.
