When to book

October is the headline month — fall color on these ridges is as good as it gets in the East, and the elevation here means it arrives early and lingers. Winter brings ski season at Sugar and Beech plus quiet, snow-lined roads inside the gate. Summer runs cool and green, with highs sitting ten to fifteen degrees under the piedmont. May, June and September are the value windows: same views, softer rates, fewer people. Because October and the holidays book out first at Blue Ridge Mountain Club, we tell guests to lock those dates six to nine months ahead.
