This is a rare spot in the high country to be in a beautiful location by the river, but feel secluded and surrounded by trees instead of more houses without being an hour away from town. We would stay here again anytime!
Great stay and proximity to South Fork New River
We had a wonderful stay at the New River Tree House! The house was immaculate, had everything we needed and then some. The deck was perfect for star gazing and listening to the New River across the road. The house was a great way to reenergize and we will definitely be back! Nick is a very kind and gracious host who was very quick to respond to our questions. 10/10 recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nick’s place! The home is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The location is great—we visited Boone, West Jefferson, and Lansing easily! Nick responded very quickly to my messages! One note for future guests: it was pretty buggy outside…obviously the home is in the woods near water so this is to be expected, but they were very attracted to the lights and big windows of the home. If you’re coming in the spring or summer I would recommend bringing bug spray and making sure to close doors quickly when walking in and out (we ended up with some moths and other bugs inside despite our efforts). Would definitely stay again!
This house is beautiful. All of the fixtures were high quality. The places sits up high above the South Fork of the New River.
