Step inside to a warm and inviting living area featuring a gas log fireplace, plush leather seating, and an open-concept layout perfect for gathering after a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring the High Country. The fully equipped kitchen features a large granite island with barstools, making it easy to cook meals, share snacks, or enjoy coffee before heading out for adventure. The dining table comfortably seats six for memorable meals together.
The main-level king suite offers a peaceful retreat with deck access, a large TV, and a spa-like ensuite bathroom complete with a soaking tub beside a picture window with mountain views. Downstairs, the fun continues with a second living area featuring another fireplace, flatscreen TV, wet bar, and a bunk nook with built-in twin-over-twin bunks that kids will love. Additional king and queen bedrooms provide comfortable private spaces for everyone to unwind.
Outside is where Hucklebeary Cabin truly shines! The cabin was exactly as described and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was very, very well stocked—it had absolutely anything you could possibly need. Nick was also very quick to respond to any questions we had. Our friends and I even joked about not leaving a good review because we really want this cabin to be available the next time we decide to visit Banner Elk! In all seriousness, we would highly recommend this cabin. Eagles Nest is one of our favorite locations, and we love all the amenities it has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed dining outside at Epic Chophouse at sunset (make sure to make reservations early!). All in all, it was another great trip to Banner Elk. A big thank-you to Nick for sharing his cabin and allowing others to enjoy such a wonderful place. We can’t wait to come back!
Great house for a family trip.
We just got back from a long weekend at Hucklebeary Cabin and my kids are already asking when we're going again! The location is what got us first — tucked away, totally peaceful, just trees and mountain views in every direction. Coffee on the porch in the morning never got old. The cabin itself is even nicer in person than the photos show. Everything was thought out: well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, games for the kids, we honestly didn't need to bring half of what we packed! I had a few questions and the response from the host was almost immediate — some of the best communication we've had from any rental, ever. Part of me doesn't even WANT to leave this review because this place is going to get harder to book! We're already looking at dates to come back before the fall weekends fill up. If you're on the fence, just grab it!
Lovely place! We were staying for work so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy all the amenities but would love to come back when not working!
The only downside to staying at The HuckleBEARy Cabin was having to leave. Everything about our stay was wonderful—the peaceful setting, the breathtaking views, the beautiful kitchen, and the sparkling clean hot tub. We loved spending time here and found ourselves trying to figure out how we could stay just one more night. As someone who loves to cook, I especially enjoyed the kitchen. It was thoughtfully designed and made preparing meals part of the vacation experience. Between morning coffee with the view and evenings soaking in the hot tub, it was hard to imagine being anywhere else. We left relaxed, refreshed, and already talking about our next trip back. Thank you for sharing such a special place!
Awesome place for a weekend getaway!! Place was as described and super clean!! Nick was an awesome host! Super quick to respond and super helpful. Had a tiny issue getting into the cabin and Nick had it all sorted out for us in a matter of about 2 minutes. Highly recommend and would definitely look to stay here again!
