Birch & Squirrel offers the perfect balance of comfort, style, and mountain charm. The home features an open-concept living area with a welcoming fireplace, comfortable seating, and natural light that creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Each bedroom is designed as a peaceful retreat, offering soft textures, comfortable bedding, and a sense of privacy for restful nights. The bathrooms are clean and well-appointed, adding convenience and comfort to your stay.
There is also a newly finished lower level, great for groups - with triple full bunks and an additional bedroom with a King / Twin bunk combo, there is plenty of space to gather.

Epic Chophouse restaurant in Banner Elk offers the top dining experience and best mountain views in the High Country of North Carolina. We literally elevated food and drink in the Blue Ridge when we opened our Eagles Nest location at 4,300 feet elevation in 2025. Perched atop a knoll with panoramic vistas, our gorgeous mountain lodge setting has soaring ceilings, glass walls and striking art. Watch summer sunsets from covered decks complete with firepits. Open year-round, the bar and dining room with a massive stone fireplace are perfect places to gather with friends on winter days.

Nick was an exceptional host. After my departureI realized I left some valuables at the house. Nick went out of his way to help me locate them and return them to me. This house was perfect for our family-ranging from ages 8-85! We will certainly visit again!
Our family had a lovely time at Nick’s beautiful place. Our grandkids had a blast and loved the basement floor with the games and the bunkbeds. They did not want to leave!!

We enjoyed a great spring break at Nick’s cabin with a couple of families. The basement and bunk beds were a huge hit with the kids! Had a few questions while we were there and Nick responded and helped out almost immediately. Would highly recommend!
Had a very large group and this house did great to fit our needs! Didn’t feel crowded at all and the downstairs bunk area is amazing. Beautiful views on the back TWO decks! Hot tub was a hit with a great view. Huge kitchen and great space for just lounging.
