About Azalea Hill
Azalea Hill is a large rustic cabin, with all the modern conveniences, located between historic Boone and Blowing Rock.
This peaceful getaway nestled in the woods ,with awe-inducing views of Grandfather and Beech mountains, is the perfect getaway. The house, part of which dates back to 1925, boasts an expansive living area, filled with warm wood details, a stone fireplace, snowshoes turned into lamps, and comfortably seating surrounding an HDTV.
The living room opens out to the wide deck, where there’s additional seating (Adirondack chairs and an outdoor table) to enjoy sunsets and moonrises.
The kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances, with seating for eight at the main dining table and two more at the bar. The covered deck off the kitchen has a gas grill.
The house is owned by a New York Times bestselling author, and is filled with books, original art, and many heirloom pieces of furniture. Artists, poets, and other writers have stayed there. Perhaps you’ll find your muse as you sip on a glass of wine, make dinner on the grill, or walk on one of the many nearby trails.
AWD or 4WD is highly recommended during the winter months if weather conditions are adverse.

Nick's place was worth every penny! The weather was perfect and the view was spectacular. We sat out on the porch for hours. The proximity to Moses Cone Park and Blowing Rock meant we could take our dog for a walk every day and then go back for longer hikes without it feeling like a chore. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the mountains.
We had a lovely time at Nick's. The deck and view are definitely the top selling points! You could easily sit out there for hours and just watch the clouds and sun play on the mountains. The place was as pictured, if a bit dark, and had everything we needed for our stay. A quick swiffer for the cobwebs would go a long way. Overall, we would definitely stay here again if we're in the Boone area and will recommend to others! :)
We loved our stay at Nick's cabin. The location is perfect, with access to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather mountain. We were impressed with the clear communication, the place was super clean!, and the environment was wonderful. We will definitely be renting again in the future.

This is a great cabin for a mountain getaway. The area was very peaceful and secluded, but very close to amenities and tourist attractions.
