This beautiful 4BR mountain retreat is the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy unforgettable adventures with family and friends. From stunning mountain views to cozy fireplaces and fun outdoor spaces, every moment here feels like a true mountain getaway.
Step inside to a warm and inviting living area featuring a gas log fireplace, plush leather seating, and an open-concept layout perfect for gathering after a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring the High Country. The fully equipped kitchen features a large granite island with barstools, making it easy to cook meals, share snacks, or enjoy coffee before heading out for adventure. The dining table comfortably seats six for memorable meals together.
The main-level king suite offers a peaceful retreat with deck access, a large TV, and a spa-like ensuite bathroom complete with a soaking tub beside a picture window with mountain views. Downstairs, the fun continues with a second living area featuring another fireplace, flatscreen TV, wet bar, and a bunk nook with built-in twin-over-twin bunks that kids will love. Additional king and queen bedrooms provide comfortable private spaces for everyone to unwind.

My friends and I stayed here for my birthday trip and had the best time! The house is gorgeous with lots of open space and beautiful views of the mountains. The hosts were great at communicating and made the experience very enjoyable. We would love to come back again soon!
Hucklebearry was a beautiful place well laid out and lots of amenities. Expansive views from the decks Each bedroom had a bath and the additional half bath on the main floor was a bonus. The kitchen was well appointed and it was great having a gas stove (vs electric) Our grand daughter enjoyed the play areas at the ‘camps’ and it was fun to explore the various areas. Banner Elk is a charming little town with lots of options for dining. Linville falls and cavern aren’t far away, neither is Grandfather mountain. We went to the Land of Oz on Beech Mountain, just a short drive away. Overall a great place to spend time in the mountains, centrally located to lots of things to do.
Hucklebeary Cabin far exceeded my expectations. It was exactly as described and looked like all the pictures. It was quiet, calm, and peaceful, while its energy was contagious. Nick is one of the best hosts I have ever dealt with. He was very responsive and helpful in any capacity that I asked. We would definitely stay there again and I highly recommend it‼️
The cabin was exactly as described and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was very, very well stocked—it had absolutely anything you could possibly need. Nick was also very quick to respond to any questions we had. Our friends and I even joked about not leaving a good review because we really want this cabin to be available the next time we decide to visit Banner Elk! In all seriousness, we would highly recommend this cabin. Eagles Nest is one of our favorite locations, and we love all the amenities it has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed dining outside at Epic Chophouse at sunset (make sure to make reservations early!). All in all, it was another great trip to Banner Elk. A big thank-you to Nick for sharing his cabin and allowing others to enjoy such a wonderful place. We can’t wait to come back!
Great house for a family trip.
We just got back from a long weekend at Hucklebeary Cabin and my kids are already asking when we're going again! The location is what got us first — tucked away, totally peaceful, just trees and mountain views in every direction. Coffee on the porch in the morning never got old. The cabin itself is even nicer in person than the photos show. Everything was thought out: well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, games for the kids, we honestly didn't need to bring half of what we packed! I had a few questions and the response from the host was almost immediate — some of the best communication we've had from any rental, ever. Part of me doesn't even WANT to leave this review because this place is going to get harder to book! We're already looking at dates to come back before the fall weekends fill up. If you're on the fence, just grab it!
