About Whispering Pines
Escape to Whispering Pines, a dog‑friendly log cabin on 1.74 acres a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. App Ski Slopes are only 30 mins away! Downtown Boone and Appalachian State University - Go Mountaineers! - is only 20 minutes away! Wilkesboro Speedway is just down the road about 12 miles away! Sleeps five with a king suite, queen suite and loft twin. Enjoy two full baths, open living area with wood‑burning fireplace, smart TVs, hot tub, fire pit, propane grill and wraparound porch.
Living area & kitchen: The main level’s open concept living room has cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, comfy seating, smart TV (no Live TV) and a stone wood‑burning fireplace. The adjacent dining area seats six and flows into a well‑equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counters, cookware, dishes and a breakfast bar. A laundry room with a Samsung washer/dryer is off the kitchen.
Bedrooms & baths: The king primary suite on the first floor includes a smart TV, full bath (tub/shower combo) and direct deck access. Upstairs, a queen bedroom with smart TV has its own full bath. A loft overlooking the living room provides a twin bed and another full bath. All baths offer fresh linens and basic toiletries.
Outdoor spaces: Enjoy mountain air from the covered porch and open deck, furnished with rocking chairs, outdoor dining table and a private hot tub. The yard features a stone firepit surrounded by six chairs and a propane grill. Ample parking is available in the gravel driveway.
AWD or 4WD is highly recommended during the winter months if weather conditions are adverse.

Just the kind of place we like for a long weekend in NC mountains. Had never stayed in this area before and would do it again. Cozy, clean, peaceful and secluded. Lots of little extras that were very helpful, like Infinity X1 high powered flashlight that I have already bought one for myself. Like the enclosed porches/decks that our dog could enjoy outside. Easy to get to Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a perfect 5-star experience staying here! Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for. The location was perfect for exploring Boone, Grandfather Mountain, and the surrounding area. It was honestly a great place to come back to after a long day of hiking and exploring. Our host was amazing and made the whole stay easy and enjoyable. Communication was great, and we felt very welcomed throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again if we’re back in the Boone area. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an awesome getaway in the Boone area. Definitely recommend staying here
Whispering Pines is the quintessential mountain cabin stay. It had everything we needed and more. The decor was thoughtfully curated, warm, and welcoming. Beautiful cabin and surroundings!
The host answered all inquiries quickly. Rustic cabin which was very clean and neat. Many, many appliances to meet any cooking need. Bed was very comfy and cozy. Hot tub was a nice feature to use on a cool night. Nice peaceful outdoor area to enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
The one thing I was truly very happy about was comfortable beds. Stayed at a bunch of these BnB settings and typically bed is not great but these were quite nice. That said, this was a great place to set up a base camp for late summer hikes. Space was a great layout, very comfortable furniture, nicely decorated, great communication, very nice place to stay. If you’re a coffee person, you have options in the kitchen!! Not listed were the very kind and friendly neighbors walking their dogs around the road up the mountain. Great place!!!!!
We had a fabulous stay, perfect for a couples getaway! The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were super comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub and covered porch for relaxing 😎
