Escape to Whispering Pines, a dog‑friendly log cabin on 1.74 acres a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. App Ski Slopes are only 30 mins away! Downtown Boone and Appalachian State University - Go Mountaineers! - is only 20 minutes away! Wilkesboro Speedway is just down the road about 12 miles away! Sleeps five with a king suite, queen suite and loft twin. Enjoy two full baths, open living area with wood‑burning fireplace, smart TVs, hot tub, fire pit, propane grill and wraparound porch.
Living area & kitchen: The main level’s open concept living room has cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, comfy seating, smart TV (no Live TV) and a stone wood‑burning fireplace. The adjacent dining area seats six and flows into a well‑equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counters, cookware, dishes and a breakfast bar. A laundry room with a Samsung washer/dryer is off the kitchen.
Bedrooms & baths: The king primary suite on the first floor includes a smart TV, full bath (tub/shower combo) and direct deck access. Upstairs, a queen bedroom with smart TV has its own full bath. A loft overlooking the living room provides a twin bed and another full bath. All baths offer fresh linens and basic toiletries.
Outdoor spaces: Enjoy mountain air from the covered porch and open deck, furnished with rocking chairs, outdoor dining table and a private hot tub. The yard features a stone firepit surrounded by six chairs and a propane grill. Ample parking is available in the gravel driveway.
AWD or 4WD is highly recommended during the winter months if weather conditions are adverse.

Nicks place was one of the nicest cabins I have ever stayed in! It made you feel like you were at home but also has all the modern appliances/utilities for extra comfort! The cabin was very clean and is fully stocked with everything you need for a weekend getaway. There are many little towns close by and different hikes you can do. Nick is also one of the most communicative and nice hosts I have dealt with! We plan to come again soon!

Nick was an amazing host, super friendly, helpful and quick to respond. The cabin was easy to get to, very clean & cozy & the hot tub was a favorite hangout spot for us! I came with my pup and so appreciated the porch being completely enclosed so he could be outside with us and I didn’t have to stress about him running off from the house. The location was great too and ended up being the perfect home base to be able to explore multiple mountain towns during our visit!
