Black Bear Retreat is a spacious, upscale 5-bedroom mountain home just minutes from the golf course, clubhouse, and ski slopes of Beech Mountain. Perfect for large gatherings, this home blends rustic mountain charm with modern comforts and plenty of entertainment options for all ages.

Main Level

Step into the great room with soaring cathedral ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace with gas logs, plush leather seating, and a large HD Smart TV. A wall of windows brings in natural light and frames beautiful mountain and golf course views.

The dining area features a table that seats 12, and the adjoining kitchen includes granite countertops, upgraded appliances, and plenty of space for preparing meals. Additional seating includes a 3-seat island bar and a high-top bistro table for 4, allowing up to 19 guests to dine together. The kitchen also features a wood stove with a solid wood mantle set in a brick hearth.

Just off the kitchen, a cozy den provides another HD Smart TV, comfortable seating, laundry closet, and a small bar area. This level also includes a half bath and a King bedroom with mountain views and an HD Smart TV.

Upper Level

The master suite boasts a King bed, HD Smart TV, walk-in closet, and sliding doors to a Juliette balcony with golf course and mountain views. Its ensuite bathroom features a slate tile shower with frameless glass, dual granite vanity, and a water closet with both toilet and bidet.

A versatile bunk room with vaulted ceilings, a custom timber-framed Twin XL-over-King bed, two convertible sleeper chairs, and an HD Smart TV — perfect for kids, teens, or a mix of guests.

Lower Level

This level includes a spacious King bedroom with HD Smart TV, private access to the backyard, and a full bathroom with jetted soaking tub and granite vanity.

The family room features another wood stove, huge HD Smart TV, built-in desk, and a wall of windows with mountain and golf course views. A nearby game room offers an 8-foot slate pool table for endless fun.

Outdoor Living

The main deck provides outdoor dining for up to 12, a hot tub, and a gas grill. The nearly level backyard includes a manicured lawn and a wood-burning fire pit with plenty of seating — perfect for gathering under the stars.

Beech Mountain Club Access

Guests may apply for a temporary membership transfer to the Beech Mountain Club (BMC) for the duration of their stay.

Transfers are managed directly by BMC and subject to club policies.

Applications must be submitted at least 3 days prior to the desired start date.

Transfers are limited to two per month per ownership, accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

A transfer fee (starting at $300) applies, paid directly to BMC.

Memberships begin at the Social level, with upgrades available for an additional fee.
